QLED - Qualified Listed Entity Director Badge

The SID Qualified Listed Entity Director (QLED) Badge is the first in a series of specialist domain Badges recognising directors who complete specific programmes and demonstrate competency in listed-entity governance. The QLED Badge recognises directors who have successfully completed all nine modules of the Listed Entity Director (LED) Programme or the Listed Entity Director (LED) Bridging Programme and shown proficiency in listing compliance requirements. This digital Badge is a high-visibility, verifiable credential that formally recognises directors’ competencies in the listed-entity domain.

The QLED Badge can be attained by directors who meet the criteria outlined in the Earning Criteria section.

Benefits
Earning the QLED Badge enables directors to:

  • Demonstrate specialised knowledge in listed-company governance.
  • Signal readiness to contribute effectively on listed-entity boards.
  • Strengthen professional profiles with a shareable digital credential.
  • Build confidence in navigating the regulatory environment of listed companies in Singapore, with focus on the Companies Act, SGX Listing Manual and Code of Corporate Governance.

Who is it for
This Badge is ideal for:

  • New or aspiring directors seeking entry into SGX-listed company boards.
  • Directors transitioning from private, non-profit or public sectors to listed entities.
  • Accredited directors who want to highlight domain knowledge in listed-entity governance.

Getting Started
Before pursuing the QLED Badge, candidates must first be members of the Singapore Institute of Directors. If you are not yet an SID member, learn more about membership at www.sid.org.sg/Membership.

Badge Validity
The QLED Badge does not expire but is continuously refreshed to remain aligned with prevailing codes and legislation, such as SGX RegCo Practice Notes 2.3 (Mainboard) and 4D (Catalist). To retain the Badge, directors are required to complete the prescribed update training within the stipulated timeframe.

Upcoming requirement: Candidates must complete LED 10 by 31 December 2027 to maintain their QLED Badge credential.
