Course description
The SID Listed Entity Director (LED) Bridging Programme is a 15-hour hybrid course endorsed by Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo). This programme consists of self-directed e-learning, an in-person facilitated discussion, and a compulsory assessment. It is specifically designed to enable graduates of four approved directorship programmes to meet the mandatory training requirements for first-time directors of SGX listed companies as outlined in SGX Practice Notes 2.3 (Mainboard) and 4D (Catalist).
Mandatory training that are the core modules LED 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9 of the SID Listed Entity Director (LED) Programme.

Target audience
Graduates of any of the four approved directorship training programmes who are seeking to join or are first-time appointees to the boards of Singapore listed entities.
The four approved directorship training programmes are:
- SID-SMU Directorship Programme (participants must complete modules 1-6)
- INSEAD International Directors Programme (IDP) (participants must complete modules 1-3)
- Governance for Outstanding Organisation Directors (SGOOD) (participants must complete modules 1-8, 2024 and before) or
Governance for Outstanding Organisation Directors (SGOOD) (participants received the Completion Certificate, 2025 onwards)
- SID Board Readiness Programme (BRP) (participants must have graduated from the programme)
Participant benefits
For graduates of any of the four approved directorship training programmes listed above, upon successful completion of the SID LED Bridging Programme, participants will receive the following:
- 15 CPD hours
- A certificate of completion for the LED Bridging Programme
- Letter of attestment verifying completion of (1) an approved directorship programme and (2) the LED Bridging Programme.
Only upon completing both an approved directorship programme and the LED Bridging Programme will participants meet the mandatory training requirements of SGX for first-time board directors of SGX listed entities. Please note that only completing the LED Bridging Programme alone does not fulfil these mandatory training requirements of SGX.

This programme is open to registration for everyone. Upon successful completion of the SID LED Bridging Programme, participants will receive 15 CPD hours and a certificate of completion. Participants will then need to complete any of the four approved directorship training programmes to complete the mandatory training requirements of SGX.
Programme overview
The LED Bridging Programme consists of three key components:
- Knowledge modules delivered via self-directed e-learning – Up to 10 hours of e-learning, covering the following areas:
- Listed Company Essentials
- Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Fundamentals
- Corporate Actions
- Singapore Company Law
- Stakeholder Engagement
- In-person facilitated discussion – A 4-hour in-person
session where participants engage in deep-dive discussions on corporate
strategies, board performance, and governance issues, with a focus on
case studies and peer-to-peer learning.
- Compulsory remote proctored assessment – A 1-hour, multiple-choice exam that assesses the participant's understanding of key topics covered in the e-learning modules.
Programme Duration
4 months
Registration is scheduled to open in late October 2025. Once registered, participants will have three months to complete the self-directed e-learning modules and pass the compulsory assessment by February 2026. The in-person facilitated discussion will be held in January 2026.
