Briefing on Structure & Assessment Methodology, Past Performance of Singapore Listed Companies and Opportunities for Areas for Improvement
Launched in 2011, the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (Scorecard) which assesses the Corporate Governance practices and disclosures of the top 100 listed companies by market capitalisation in 6 ASEAN countries is an initiative of the ASEAN Capital Market Forum and is supported by the Asian Development Bank.
This briefing session which is organised by Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) and the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) and supported by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Singapore Exchange (SGX), is intended to provide you with a brief recapitulation of this ASEAN initiative, a review of Singapore’s past performance, the overall ranking for Singapore’s position within ASEAN, areas of weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
Mr John Lim, SID’s past chairman, and Professor Lawrence Loh of Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations, NUS Business School (CGIO) will highlight the changes and provide insights on areas where top Singapore listed companies can improve their scores.
