The SID Accreditation Exam is held twice a year, in April and August (unless otherwise stated by SID). The registrations for the April exam will begin in January while the registrations for the August exam will begin in May.
Structure and Format
The Accreditation Exam has a total of 100 questions divided into eight sections based on the eight competencies outlined in the Director Competency Model.
Duration
Candidates will be given a one-month window to attempt the exam and will have two hours to complete the entire exam. The two hours will be inclusive of three breaks (10 min each) that candidates can choose to take by clicking on a “Bio-break” button, pausing the exam timer temporarily. Candidates are encouraged to complete the exam in one sitting and within the one-month window.
Minimum Passing Grade
To pass the exam, you must achieve a minimum score of 50% in each of the eight sections and an overall exam score of at least 70%.
Exam Results
Candidates can refer to the candidate portal in ThinkExam to access detailed reports, including their scores for each of the eight sections. Do note that candidates will not be able to view their submitted answers after completing the exam.
Pass Status and Accreditation Status
The outcome of the candidate's accreditation status will be communicated via email within one month from the conclusion of the exam period, provided that all requirements to pass have been successfully met.
For example, if the exam window ends on 30 April all candidates can expect to be notified of their pass status and accreditation status between 16 to 23 May. In the event that a registered candidate does not meet the 32 hours of directorship training requirement, the candidate will not be awarded the accreditation status (regardless if they passed) until sufficient evidence is provided.

Registration
A candidate is successfully registered for the exam when payment is made in full. Payment for the exam can only be made via credit card/Paypal, no other payment methods will be accepted for this item.
Cancellation, Refunds and Deferment
Strictly no cancellations, refunds or deferment are allowed once registration is successful.
