This session on cyber risk will highlight the significance of cyber risk management in today’s digital world. In particular, the importance of embedding organisational resilience in an environment where cyber threats and coordinated cyber attacks on infrastructure and systems are becoming more commonplace. Targeting board members and senior management involved in audit and board risk matters, the presentation will cover mitigation strategies and the legal implications of a cyber risk incident. What can businesses do to be cyber security ready?

SPEAKERS

Jimmy Sng
Partner, Technology Risk Management and Cybersecurity, PwC

Mr Jimmy Sng is a Partner and Technology Risk Services leader at PwC Singapore. His 23-year career has focused on helping multinational companies, government agencies and financial services firms navigate the  terrain of cyber risks. Mr Sng also heads the Data Protection Office at PwC and is a contributor to the broader technology risk community. He served on the board of ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) and was an executive committee member of AISP (Association for Information Security Professionals). He currently sits on the advisory committee of the Accounting Technology & Innovation Centre.

 

Vandit Bhatia
Director, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy, PwC

Mr Vandit Bhatia is a Director at PwC Singapore’s Risk Services Practice. He has 13 years of experience in cyber security application, network security and data privacy across various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, banking and government. Mr Bhatia’s professional pursuits are focused on helping global organisations enhance their cyber security and privacy posture by implementing the right framework. Apart from being a contributor to the cyber security field, he is currently pursuing a degree in Law.
