Déjà vu: When the Sun Rises in the West
SID is pleased to collaborate with The Private Museum Singapore, supported by Netpoleon Solutions, to present a curated viewing of the exhibition Déjà vu: When the Sun Rises in the West. An evocative interpretation of history that reframes Western classical knowledge alongside Eastern concepts, this exhibition draws inspiration from Thai artist Natee Utarit’s personal journey. From a marble sculpture in Naples, Italy to the famed Walking Buddha of Thailand, the intersections between East and West reimagine time and space. Through an array of mediums – paintings, sculpture, embroidery, stained glass and woodcut – the works on display explore memory, identity and culture.
Join us for an evening of fellowship, sharing and connection amidst the
tranquil ambience of the gallery perched in a unique heritage building.
