SID-IoD Global Company Direction Programme
The Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) in collaboration with the Institute of Directors UK (IoD) is pleased to  launch the Global Company Direction Programme in Singapore. This marks IoD’s inaugural collaboration with an Asian director institute to bring world-class board education closer to directors based in the region. Drawing on the deep expertise and extensive networks of both director institutes, this immersive programme goes beyond theory. It offers a practical and unique curriculum that addresses real-world challenges and strategic opportunities facing today’s global board leaders.

There are two modules in the programme:

  • International Role of the Director and the board
  • Leadership for Directors

Participants who complete both modules will be eligible to:

  • Take the SID Accreditation Exam with the registration fee waived (worth S$272.50). 
  • Continue with the remaining two modules of UK IoD’s Certificate in Company Direction, a first step in the Chartered Director programme.

Bonus for SID Members
SID members who register for both modules will receive complimentary access to the SID Directors Conference on 12 September 2025 (worth S$990).

Learning outcomes

  • Gain a practical understanding of directors' duties, roles and legal responsibilities, explore governance best practices, and strengthen stakeholder management for improved board effectiveness.
  • Learn to lead strategic change, create a performance-driven culture, apply effective behaviours and use frameworks to measure performance and progress in dynamic global settings.
  • Enhance global readiness through real-world case studies, develop skills to manage global board dynamics and regulatory complexity, develop cross-cultural fluency and comparative governance insights.

SID members: S$15,260.00 (incl. 9% GST)
Non-members: S$15,805.00 (incl. 9% GST) 

SPEAKER

Janhavi Dadarkar

Ms Janhavi Dadarkar holds a portfolio of non-executive director positions and serves as an IoD course leader. She has over two decades of experience in advising corporates and entrepreneurs. After starting as a lawyer in top City of London firms, she turned to corporate and government affairs as Equity Partner in an India-focused advisory firm which she helped build, restructure and exit. She is a recognised expert and frequent speaker on governance and cross-border transactions. Ms Dadarkar has authored many guides and articles on various topics, including doing business in India, best corporate practices and joint ventures.
