Climate Governance Singapore Forum
Climate change is the new reality in which businesses operate. Increasingly, regulators and consumers are demanding greater accountability from businesses in their climate reporting and governance. However a recent survey by Stewardship Asia highlighted that only 21 per cent of corporate leaders surveyed in Asia felt that sustainability is the board’s responsibility – and 16 per cent admitted that no one owns sustainability on their boards. How can companies embed sustainability on the boardroom agenda? And how can board directors lead strategic discussions on climate governance as stewards of the company?
