
Exercise SG Ready 2026
Co-led by Nexus, Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the Phishing Exercise for Businesses returns as part of Exercise SG Ready (ESR) 2026. This complimentary two-week exercise, to be held from 1 to 15 February 2026 under the annual Total Defence campaign, aims to encourage individuals, communities and businesses to reflect on the question: "Are you ready for disruptions?” and to put Total Defence into action through contingency plans.
Participating companies will:
- Test employees' awareness of phishing threats
- Identify vulnerabilities in security protocols
- Receive a detailed phishing resilience report
- Connect with Cyber Security professionals

SID partners Nexus in support of Total Defence
At the launch of the Cyber Resilience Guide for Boards in Singapore on 12 February 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Mr Terence Quek, CEO of SID and SLTC Psalm Lew, Director Community Engagement, Nexus, Ministry of Defence for both SID and Nexus to collaborate in support of Total Defence. Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information & Ministry of National Development was the witness.
Under this MOU, Nexus will support SID's efforts to encourage its members to prepare their organisations for disruptions. This includes rolling out a series of board simulation exercises, making available useful resources, and funding for cyber resilience training for board directors.
After the MOU-signing, SID members attending the event participated in Exercise SG Ready (ESR), a nation-wide exercise to prepare businesses to manage disruptions such as those caused by cyber attacks affecting the national power grid.
As part of the advocacy efforts, SID members were encouraged to sign their organisations up in ESR from 15 to 28 February 2025.
