Happy Lunar New Year of the Rabbit!
 
The Rabbit in the Chinese horoscope is often characterised as an intelligent, athletic and social animal (not to mention, the luckiest of the 12!). Likewise, the year ahead looks set to be an energetic one as SID takes big leaps forward with many exciting initiatives.
 
In February, we have lined up a series of professional development courses and networking events, including:

• Subsidiary Board Director Fundamentals for members serving or planning to 
  serve on the boards of subsidiary companies and joint ventures.
• Pit-Stop on Climate Risk Reporting, highlighting key trends and impending 
  regulatory changes.
  
• Market outlook for 2023 in partnership with OCBC Bank.
  
• Watch appreciation networking session in collaboration with Breitling.

In 2023, we will continue to focus on increasing our value and maximising our potential via SID’s five strategic pillars: Great Experience, Great Work, Great Brand, Great Partners and Great Team.
 
We are grateful that more than 150 members have stepped forward to serve as SID Committee Members, volunteering their time, talent and resources in partnership with the Governing Council and Executive Team to advance SID’s mission. The 25 Committees collectively contribute towards SID’s work across Member Experience, Thought Leadership, Ecosystems and Infrastructure.
 
If you are inspired to contribute to the Institute in its milestone 25th Anniversary year, here are a few ways you can be part of the action:

• Apply your expertise to help advance directorship and governance. We are      
  always on the lookout for faculty, speakers, writers, mentors and other experts 
  who are willing to share their knowledge and experience.
  
• Champion board renewal by listing (or referring) open board positions for listed 
  companies, private companies, startups, charities and statutory boards on our
  board listing service.
  
• Refer fellow board directors or corporate leaders to sign up as SID members.
• Sponsor (or connect us to sponsors) for our flagship events, including the Golf  Tournament on 16 June, Directors Conference on 20 September, and our inaugural Members Gala on 30 November.
• Speak to us about our newly launched Annual Corporate Partnership programme, or explore a tailored partnership that meets your organisation’s objectives.

We hope you are as excited about the year ahead as we are, and we look forward to your active engagement and contribution to a thriving governance ecosystem!
