ACP - AC Pit-Stops

Level Focus.
Course Description The AC Pit-Stop series is specially designed to help Audit Committee (AC) members deep dive into specific areas of significance to ACs. Other board directors and senior management will also benefit from the AC Pit-Stops. The series is focused on specific topics, and present an opportunity for AC members to ask questions, share and discuss topical issues within the realm of the AC.
Course Objectives
  1. Equip ACs with the fundamental understanding of specific topics to enable them to ask pertinent questions of management and the external auditors.
  2. Provide a platform for sharing and discussion on issues relevant to ACs.
  3. Highlight learning points and encourage thought leadership in boardrooms.
Course Outline A specific topic, based on regulatory trends or corporate governance, will be the focus for each event. The theme is decided by SID in consultation with the partner organisation, if any. The title, content and thrust of AC Pit-Stops, by their nature, may change depending upon the timing of delivery. New topics and sessions will be added during the year. The following topics are planned for 2021:

ACP1: Valuation – Addressing Challenges in Uncertain Economic Times.
ACP2: The Insolvency and Restructuring Regime in Singapore – Changes and Consolidation.
ACP3: Looking Beyond the Pandemic – Important Role of the AC.
ACP4: An Insider Guide to Cryptocurrency and Blockchain.
ACP5: Tax Function of Tomorrow.
Target Audience
AC chairmen and members, directors and senior management who work closely with boards.
Course Duration 2 hours (per session).
Format Presentation with case studies, followed by panel discussion and Q&A.
