Course Description The Board Risk Committee (BRC) supports the board in ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems. This module examines the regulatory environment and various governance structures through which boards can have oversight, as well as how the BRC can obtain assurance for its disclosure. Key concepts of risk and risk management, including the risk universe, enterprise risk management frameworks, and governance, risk and compliance frameworks, are explained.
