GRC - Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Professional Training Programme

Course Description The GRC Professional Training Programme is the first-of-its-kind in Singapore. It is delivered in partnership with Straits Interactive, under licence from the Open Compliance & Ethics Group (OCEG).  

The programme helps participants develop a core understanding of governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) concepts, and equips them with the skills to integrate these key areas into one capability.  This course aligns GRC activities with company objectives so as to build a robust GRC capability throughout the organisation.

The course also prepares participants for GRC Professional Certification, by OCEG, if they wish to seek such certification. Participants also have complimentary use of a GRC tool for a year after the course.
Course Objectives
  1. Align governance, risk and compliance with an organisation’s overall objectives, while understanding, defining and enhancing organisational performance, risk management and compliance culture.
  2. Implement effective, efficient and agile GRC processes using the OCEG GRC Capability Model, motivating and inspiring desired conduct through the concept of Principled Performance.
  3. Develop ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement of GRC activities through metrics and measurement.
  4. Learn how to explain the value of Principled Performance, and an integrated approach to GRC, to company stakeholders.

    1. GRC and Principled Performance.
    2. GRC concepts, roles and responsibilities of stakeholders, and stakeholder relations plan.
    3. Setting direction for GRC and overseeing management decision-making criteria.
    4. Reviewing and monitoring GRC capabilities.
    5. The board’s roles and responsibilities with regard to GRC.
    6. Preparing for the GRC Professional Exam.

    Target Audience
    Internal auditors, lawyers, professionals including IT professionals engaged in governance, risk management and compliance (GRC), managers responsible for GRC activities, C-suite executives and directors of companies.
    Course Duration 3 full, consecutive days (lunch provided).
