MCD1 - The Director as an Innovation Driver

Course Description In today’s competitive business environment, companies need to constantly challenge what they do and come up with new and different ways of doing things to survive. Innovation holds the key to sustaining a business, and directors should be in the driver’s seat of the innovation wagon.

This is a one-day interactive workshop to enhance directors’ understanding of innovation, what is needed to build an innovation strategy and culture, and the board’s role in innovation governance. The session, facilitated by experts in the field, centre on discussions, including sharing perspectives and experiences.

  3. Discuss the importance of the participants’ role in driving innovation.
  4. Educate participants about managing innovation portfolio.

Directors with a desire to enhance their understanding of innovation and how the board can be more effective in driving innovation. Attendees are expected to already have the fundamentals and essentials of the SID professional development programme.
