MCD1 - Boards and Political Networks (NEW)

Course Description Decisions on shareholder dividends, bonuses for senior executives, and investments in innovation play out as a balance of power between the different actors – shareholders, boards, CEOs and other executives. Corporate governance and compliance with regulations require skillful navigation of political networks. This session draws on INSEAD research to explore some of the key challenges board directors face in exercising their political power. Using conceptual frameworks of political dynamics, the module highlights the value of professional networks in the creation of social capital and effective influence.
