LEDM - Listed Entity Director Programme (Mandarin) - Core

LEDM - Listed Entity Director Programme (Mandarin) - Core
The Listed Entity Director (LED) Programme (Mandarin) Core Modules explore the business and regulatory environment in Singapore and the latest changes to the Code of Corporate Governance and related SGX Listing Rules, announced in August 2018. The course content uses relevant case studies to focus on the roles and responsibilities of listed entity directors both at the individual level and as a board.

Effective from 1 January 2019, first-time directors of Singapore listed companies are required to attend mandatory training prescribed by the Singapore Exchange under Practice Note 2.3 of the SGX Mainboard Rule 210(5)(a) and Practice Note 4D of the SGX Catalist Rule 406(3)(a). This is the full LED Programme conducted by SID and supported by SGX, conducted in English in Singapore.

The LED Programme (Mandarin) Core Modules comprise the four core modules under the full LED Programme, which provide the foundation for first-time directors of Singapore listed companies. The four elective modules on the work of the four main board committees – the Audit Committee, Board Risk Committee, Nominating Committee and Remuneration Committee – are currently offered in English.

First-time directors whose first language is Mandarin are required to attend this course which is conducted in Mandarin. Current directors are also strongly encouraged to attend this programme to keep themselves apprised of the latest regulatory developments. This will equip them with the skillsets and knowledge to execute their board roles effectively.
