Roundtable Synopsis
Based on recent research at the 2020 Criticaleye CEO Retreat, "Boards will have to become more involved (in company strategy), and this means that the balance between challenge and support is going to become even more difficult." Will this mean that Chairs/NEDs/iNEDs need to play a more hands-on role in terms of strategy?
At this Global virtual roundtable, held in association with the Criticaleye, we will bring together Chairs and Independent Directors from different global businesses to discuss how their organisations are looking more closely at strategy and at how best to challenge and support.
Areas to discuss include:
- The role of the Board in strategy
- Relationship between the CEO and Chair
- Risk management in the Boardroom
- Differences between family owned companies and plc or private equity backed firms
- How might this differ in Asia vs. in UK/Europe?
