Statement of Good Practice

The SID's Statements of Good Practice have been developed as a result of requests from its members to provide guidelines on certain fundamental issues of board performance, accountability and corporate responsibility, in a succinct and practical way. These Statements are not meant to be overly prescriptive and are necessarily of a general and introductory nature as they deal with different and varying issues.

To date, the following statements have been issued:

  12. SGP No. 12/ 2011 : Share pledging by directors who are controlling shareholders

The SID is grateful to the various Council Members and members of the Institue who have volunteered their valuable time to share their expertise and experience in the development of these Statements. In particular, the SID would like to acknowledge Mr Adrian Chan for leading and coordinating the issue of the statements as well as Ms Kala Anandarajah, Mrs Yvonne Goh, Mr Will Hoon, Ms Lan Luh Luh, Mr John Lim, Mr Reggie Thien, A/Prof Victor Yeo and Mr Yeoh Oon Jin for their efforts and contributions.
