China is now the world's greatest carbon emitter and the country's fragile ecology and diverse geography is suffering massive environment degradation, caused in large part by pollution generated by heavy industry, manufacturing and meeting the country's energy demands.
The Chinese government is aware of its pertinent need to tackle the environmental externalities of development and ensure future growth, reflects efforts to move towards a low carbon economy. The application of green technologies to support these efforts creates huge opportunities for investors, enterpreneurs and companies in this market. This workshop offers a snapshot of the green technology market in China, enabling participants to better understand the dynamics, opportunities and challenges present in this enormous and complex market .
