Mr Yeo Wee Kiong holds a first class honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Singapore (1980) and was awarded the Professional Engineers Board Gold Medal. In the 1980s, he studied law and business administration part-time and graduated with LLB Honours University of London (1985) and a MBA National University of Singapore (1989) respectively. He is a Barrister-at-Law with the Lincoln's Inn in England and an advocate and solicitor in Singapore. Before practicing law, Mr Yeo had from 1980 to 1989 a career in investment promotions with the Singapore Economic Development and investment banking with NM Rothschild Singapore. He has been practicing as a corporate lawyer for the past 19 years, specializing in IPOs, M&As, capital markets and venture capital. Currently, he is a director of Drew & Napier, a leading local law firm. Mr Yeo is currently a director of two listed companies, namely, Bonvests Holdings Limited and Kian Ho Bearings Limited . He is also a member of the Accounting Standards Council. At various times in the past 15 years, he has previously held appointments as independent director of more than 10 corporations listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange and of one corporation listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
