Mr Chan is the Managing Director of MBE Corporate Advisory Pte Ltd, a firm which he founded. He currently sits on the boards of a number of public listed companies where he is a non-executive and independent director. He chairs the audit committees of several of those companies. He was a member of the Corporate Governance Committee in 2001 that developed the Singapore Code of Corporate Governance and was a former member of the Accounting Standards Committee of ICPAS (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore). Mr Chan has more than 25 years of experience in audit, financial and general management, having held senior financial positions in leading companies. Mr Chan is a Chartered Accountant by training, having qualified in the UK.
