Mr Boon is Chairman and Managing Director of Jardine Matheson (Singapore) Ltd and a member of the Jardine Asia-Pacific Regional Board. He is Deputy Chairman of Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited and also sits on the MCL Land Limited Board. Outside the Jardine Group, he serves, as an independent Director, on the Boards of several public and private companies. Mr Boon is the Honorary Secretary of the Singapore National Employersâ?? Federation. He serves on the Board of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and on the Council of the ASEAN Chambers of Commerce & Industry. He is a member of the Singapore National Council of INSEAD, a leading international business school, and a member of the Competition Appeal Board. He was awarded the Public Service Medal in this year's Singapore National Day Honours.
