Mr Boon is Chairman and Managing Director of Jardine Matheson (Singapore) Ltd and a member of the Jardine Asia-Pacific Regional Board. He is Deputy Chairman of Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited . Outside the Jardine Group, he serves, as an independent Director, on the Boards of several public and private companies. Mr Boon is the Honorary Secretary of the Singapore National Employers' Federation. He serves on the Board of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and on the Council of the ASEAN Chambers of Commerce & Industry. He serves on the Singapore National Council of INSEAD, a leading international graduate business school and he is a member of the Competition Appeal Board and the Securities Industry Council.
He was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2009 National Day Honours.
