Dr Ahmad Magad is Group Managing Director of II-VI Asia Manufacturing Operations in Singapore, China and Vietnam, which are subsidiaries of Nasdaq-listed II-VI Incorporated. He is also a Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and Chairman of the Estimates Committee in Parliament. He has also served as Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) for Finance and Trade & Industry, and the GPC for Manpower. He was also a member of a number of Statutory Boards, including ACRA, SPRING Singapore and PUB. Dr Magad is also current President of the Singapore Productivity Association and Deputy Chairman of the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). He also serves on the Board of several public-listed and private companies. Dr Magad is a German-trained Engineer, holds an MBA and a Doctorate in Business Administration. He is also a Fellow of CPA Australia and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
